On 27 November 2017, ALLRAIL’s Policy Officer Salim Benkirane took part in a panel discussion on “Reaching ERTMS goals:Where are we and how far do we have to go?” at Rail Live! 2024 in Zaragoza, organised by Terrapinn.

There, he highlighted how ERTMS is an opportunity for new entrants and for the Single European Railway Area as a whole, provided the former are accompanied with adequate funding, have long-term certainty, and fast roll-out is ensured on rail infrastructure across EU countries.
