Rail Companies Rally Once Again To Support Ukrainian Train Drivers In The Conflict Zones

DONATION APPEAL UPDATE

Together with the Global Ukraine Rail Task Force, and under the coordination of Rail Partners, European rail companies have raised €77,000 ($84,000; £65,000) for the #KitForKyiv campaign, dedicated to providing protective gear for Ukrainian train drivers working in high-risk areas.

This protection is crucial for Ukraine’s rail workers, known as the ‘Iron People’, who tirelessly support evacuations, grain transport, and critical rail operations despite the unprovoked Russian aggression.

Overseen by WE AID, a subsidiary of the global charity United Way, the #KitForKyiv donation campaign reflects strong international solidarity within the rail sector.

Jolene Molitoris, former head of the American FRA and Chair of the Global Ukraine Rail Task Force says: ”Our railroad brothers and sisters in Ukraine need help to keep them safe and I know, like me, you will do everything you can to support them.”
