On Wednesday 25 September at InnoTrans 2024, the members of the ERTMS Stakeholders Platform – including ALLRAIL – and the European Organisations of the railway sector (EU Commission, ERA, Europe’s Rail) have signed a Joint Declaration reaffirming their commitment to the ERTMS program.

This declaration reflects their collective goal to accelerate ERTMS deployment across Europe, improve rail interoperability, and ensure seamless, efficient operations, especially on cross-border routes.

Moreover, it underscores the need for sufficient and non-discriminatory funding at both EU and national levels to support the program’s deployment and the decommissioning of older systems.

ALLRAIL firmly supports a fast, consistent and stable deployment of ERTMS, with adequate funding, as a significant lever toward achieving the Single European Railway Area (SERA).
